World Giraffe Day!
Hey friends, It’s World Giraffe Day! What the heck is World Giraffe Day? It’s a day that we celebrate the longest necked animal on the longest day of the year—June 21
This annual event is initiated by GCF (Giraffe Conservation Foundation) If you want to learn more about GCF or this year’s event, click this link
How can I celebrate? Endless possibilities, but here are some ideas!
Facebook Fun—I’ll be posting giraffe fun facts over on Facebook throughout the day! Like our page and share in the fun!
Adopt-A-Giraffe –By adopting a giraffe you can help with giraffe conservation in Africa. I love them all, but Dobby is pretty cute!
Social Media— Participate in the stand tall challenge and share photos! Stand Tall Challenge #StandTallForGiraffe–Take a fun picture of just yourself or together with your family or colleagues standing tall – remember that social distancing rules apply! A baby giraffe is almost 2m at birth, but adult giraffe grow to over 5m tall. Share your pics! Anything giraffe related or themed! Here are the hashtags!
- #GiraffeConservationFoundation
- #WorldGiraffeDay
- #WorldGiraffeDay2022
- #StickYourNeckOutForGiraffe
- #StandTallForGiraffe
Shop for the cause– purchase any of our giraffe themed products from our shop and a portion of proceeds will be contributed to giraffe conservation! You can also purchase GCF apparel on their site here.

Giraffes are my favorite!! I missed World Giraffe Day this year, unfortunately, but am marking it on my calendar now! Always happy to meet a fellow giraffe lover 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
